Accessibility considerations
To ensure accessibility, we will first make sure our website and pre-session materials are fully accessible. Second, we will use a Google form to ask about the participants' access needs. During the workshop, we will regularly make sure to meet the access needs of the participants. We will implement the access needs specified in the Google form, use Zoom's automatic captioning, and if requested, sign language interpretation will be provided.
We aim to provide a respectful and inclusive environment for discussions. We will be mindful of different communication styles. While we will encourage participation from all attendees, it will not be required since some people might prefer to listen to the discussions. Attendees can write down their ideas if they do not want to share them with the whole group during an active discussion. We will also make use of the chat feature and the workshop organizers will moderate this. Suppose any attendees indicate visual impairments in the Google form. In that case, we will ask attendees to avoid using moving backgrounds on Zoom, describe their appearance (e.g., hair color, eye color, etc.), and mention their names when speaking.

ASL interpreters will be in our workshop upon request.
